Constructed from square timber sections that cleverly intersect to create an intriguing play of geometric joinery, the Square Chair appears as a simple and minimal chair. The semi-circular endings offer a smooth touch to the hand and provide a comfortable finish to the backrest. Produced in indigo dyed oakwood, or oiled reclaimed teak, the chair pays homage to the rich traditions of Indian carpentry and the art of natural indigo dyeing techniques.

The webbed seating subtly references the weaving of ‘charpais’, traditional Indian daybeds, providing a breathable seat suitable for warm climates. A custom-made upholstered version is also available.
